Admission Criteria

ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR B. PHARM
Sanctioned Intake Capacity
60 seats available for the First Year B. Pharmacy starting from the academic year 2023-2024.
10% of the total sanctioned intake is reserved for Direct Second Year B. Pharmacy.

Admission Procedure for First Year B. Pharmacy:
Out of the total 60 admissions, approximately 80% are conducted through the Centralized Admission Procedure (CAP) by the Government of Maharashtra, State Common Entrance Test Cell, and Mumbai, based on MHT-CET/NEET scores.
The MHT-CET test is administered by the Government of Maharashtra, Admission Regulatory
Commission, and State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai, through their website
www.cetcell.mahacet.org.
The remaining 20% admissions are managed by the Institute at the institute level, also based on MHT-CET/NEET scores.
Any vacant CAP seat is filled by candidates from the same category for which it was earmarked during the CAP. If seats remain vacant, they are filled based on the Inter-Se-Merit of the applicants.
Admission Procedure for Direct Second Year B. Pharmacy:
Admissions are carried out through the Centralized Admission Procedure by the Government of Maharashtra, State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai, based on Diploma scores.
The centralized admissions are managed via the website cetcell.mahacet.org.
If seats remain vacant after the Centralized Admission Procedure, the Institute handles these admissions at the institute level.
*ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA*
For First Year Bachelor of Pharmacy
Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates
The candidate must be an Indian National.
They should have passed the HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as
compulsory subjects, along with either Mathematics or Biology, and secured at least 45% marks
(40% for candidates of Backward class categories, Economically Weaker Section, and Persons with
Disability from Maharashtra State) in these subjects combined.
Candidates must have appeared in all subjects and obtained a non-zero score in the CET conducted by the Competent Authority.
All India Candidature Candidates
The candidate must be an Indian National.
They should have passed the HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, along with either Mathematics or Biology, and secured at least 45% marks (40% for candidates of Backward class categories, Economically Weaker Section, and Persons with
Disability from Maharashtra State) in these subjects combined.
Candidates should obtain a non-zero positive score in NEET or have appeared in all subjects in CETand obtained a non-zero score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority. Preference is given to candidates with a non-zero positive score in NEET.
NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National Candidature Candidates
Candidates must have passed the HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, along with either Mathematics or Biology, and obtained at least 45% marks in these subjects combined.
Additional criteria may be defined by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.
For Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry) Admission
Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates and All India Candidature Candidates
The candidate must be an Indian National.
They should have passed a Diploma Course in Pharmacy with at least 45% marks (40% forcandidates of Backward class categories, Economically Weaker Section, and Persons with Disabilitybelonging to Maharashtra State) from an institution approved by All India Council for Technical Education or Pharmacy Council of India, or Central or State Government.
Any other criteria may be declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act
Rules and Discipline
GENERAL RULES
- The Admission that may be granted to the students will be provisional subject to approval of the Directorate of Technical Education, M.S. Mumbai.
- Various rules and regulations are framed by the college for the safety of the student and to make education more interesting and conducive.
- The student shall strictly obey the instructions given by the college from time to time.
- The student shall be regular and punctual in attending the theory classes and practicals.
- Minimum 75 % attendance for the theory and practical sessions separately is mandatory as per the rules of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University and Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education.
- Ragging in any form within or outside the college is totally banned. When brought to the notice, defaulters are liable for punishment as per the directives of Supreme Court of India.
- The students should not involve in any such activity which may cause damage to the college reputation as well as property.
- Students while studying if found indulging in any anti-national activities contrary to the provision of Acts and Laws enforced by Government shall be liable to be expelled from the institute without any notice by the Principal.
- Candidates applying for admission against the seats reserved for Backwards Classes shall actually belong to the castes and communities specified therein.
- If any of the statement made in application form or any information supplied by the candidate in connection with his/ her admission is, at any time found to be false or incorrect, his/her admission will be cancelled, fees forfeited and he/she may be expelled from the institute by the Principal and prosecuted by Government, if deemed necessary. An appeal against the order of expulsion, however, may be preferred within eight days from the date of letter of expulsion to the Director of Technical Education whose decision in such cases will be final.
- The candidate on admission shall be governed by rules of the institute and also by the disciplinary rules prescribed by the institute. No student will be allowed to appear for the annual Examination unless:
- He/ she have paid all dues.
- He/she have completed all the practical record book duly checked and certified by the concerned;
- He/ she have requisite percentage of attendance and
- He/she has submitted the clearance certificate.
- Student must abide by the rules and regulations made by the institute/ DBATU University, Lonere, Board of Technical Examination/Directorate of Technical Education/Pharmacy Council of India from time to time.
- The Backward Class students shall produce a validity certificate from competent authority, wherever necessary.

ATTENDANCE
- Student must be regular and punctual in attending classes and practical.
- Terms may not be granted and a student may not be certified for the University/Board examination if his/her progress including the performance in Sessional, tests, regularity, conduct and attendance are not satisfactory.
- Only such students who regularly and satisfactorily follow the course of study by attending not less than 80 % of classes held in theory and practical separately of each subject shall be eligible for appearing for the concerned examination.
